The day of the Live Radio Broadcast came and went at super speed. In my
opinion it was better than last years. I say that because basically this
year there was more stuff going on and there was a cool banner and a
company vehicle outside. One thing I thought was missing from last year
was a poster or banner. Thinking they wouldn't bring one this year I
made a poster of the logo from the KRMD website using my computer. Eh,
enough techno babble, on with the event itself!!!Skip Miller (who had announced during last years broadcast) arrived around 3:15PM with the Tracey Laurence free concert tickets. Shortly after two other crew members from KRMD, Mary (I forget her last name) and radio personality Dale Knippers arrived in the KRMD truck and joined in on the fun. Though the ticket handouts and the broadcast wasn't set to start until 4PM, folks started gathering at around 3:00ish. When everything got started up, a numbering system was devised for the proper handing out of tickets. Mary and I (Brandon) began to hand out tickets left and right to the fans that wanted them. I must say that was cool I mean awesome working along side Mary. Along with the tickets there was also KRMD listener keytags being handed out to those that registered. The event lasted until 6PM and by that time all the tickets had been handed out. After asking if I could have it, they even let me keep the cool banner used during the broadcast :). All in all I had a great time. I got to meet 2 other crew members from KRMD. Course unlike last year, I didn't get on the radio this year, but I was asked :). Just didn't have anything to talk about. |
